Internal actions
Sogrape Vinhos' commitment to its Charter is reflected in the implementation of good internal practices:
- A code of good practice in the marketing and sale of its wines.
- The formation of teams to understand and transmit information to the consumers that attend Visitors Centres and other facilities.
- Internal training to increase the awareness of the company's collaborators regarding the range of risks and benefits posed by moderate drinking and the implementation of an internal “Alcohol in the Workplace” code.
Initiatives:
"Wine in Moderation" week
A week dedicated to raising the awareness of collaborators and families regarding the moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages. Over 5 days, there is a diverse programme of activities promoting the importance of a healthy diet and regular physical activity.

Sogrape Vinhos promotes the moderate and responsible consumption of alcoholic drinks at all of the events and wine fairs that it participates in. In order to do this, it offers all of its consumers an alcohol test as they leave the event.
External actions
Sogrape Vinhos’ commitment to adhering to Wine Communication Standards is evident in its implementation of key principles established by this code:
- Communication should not, under any circumstance, encourage the irresponsible and/or abusive consumption of wine and should promote responsible consumption
- The inclusion of a responsible consumption message and the logotype “Wine in Moderation” in all communication.
To test that the message of responsible consumption forms part of the communication to the consumer and is not just the mere imposition of the code, Sogrape Vinhos complies with its commitment to its Charter and includes the message “Be responsible. Drink in Moderation” in a legible manner and in a horizontal format (where possible).
These principles are to be applied gradually to all forms of communication governed by the code.
